Dr Bobby Tee
Thean Soo Dr Bobby Tee oversees the research and operations of ACGT’s Gasoline TreeTM Experimental Research Station in Sepang, Selangor. He obtained his PhD in Genetics from the University of California, Davis. During his career, Dr Bobby has served in various international organizations including the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations in Iran and Bhutan, as well as consultant and advisor in various local government agencies in the field of agriculture development. In 1984, Dr Tee was awarded the coveted Rolex Award for Enterprise for his originality and endeavour in cultivating asparagus in Mt Kinabalu, Sabah. Dr Bobby has published some 30 papers and co-authored six books on agriculture. He joined ACGT in 2007 to manage the development of jatropha. Dr Bobby has presented his selection techniques in various international conferences on jatropha. Dr Bobby is currently involved in the research on the cultivation and uses of jatropha as an alternative source of green energy. |
